Efflorescence is a common and natural phenomenon in the concrete industry. Efflorescence is defined by the migration of mineral salts, causing a white residue, on the surface of pavers, walls, and masonry products. It is a natural and normal phenomenon that will fade or disappear with time. In many cases, the efflorescence disappears within a year after the cement-based product has been installed. However, in some cases, it can take up to 3 years for the salt minerals to completely disappear. Efflorescence can be treated with special cleaners, for more information, see our explanation guide.

Haze can appear if filling material is not properly removed from the surface of the product after the installation process. The haze will dissipate naturally over time. This phenomenon in no way compromises the quality or the value of the concrete product. It is possible to remove the haze with an appropriate product. Construction residue is the result of cutting concrete with a saw. The concrete dust lands on the surface of the paver and can leave a stain. To protect the original texture, the paver must be cleaned as soon as the construction residue lands on its surface, before the residue dries. *Rockstone does not control and is not responsible for any claims in relation to this phenomenon.

Cracks, whether in a concentrated area, or generally located throughout, can occur due improper fixing. Be sure to properly prepare the foundation base, before the product installation, to help avoid this phenomenon. Scratches can occur due to excessive mechanical abrasion, outdoor furniture, and the use of metal tools on the surface. *Rockstone does not control and is not responsible for any claims in relation to these issues.

Our colour finishes are a result of high quality imported colouring agents. Under direct sunlight the colours may appear to diminish over a course of 5 years by 2-5%. However interior products reflect bold colours throughout their service life.

As per international standards of cement-based products – variation in both colours and dimensions are inevitable. Hence – there is a tolerance for 5-10% variation in colour and dimensions in our products.
